The Footprints of Mother

One night Sunil had a dream…

In the dream he was walking along the beach with his mother In the dream many scenes of the past flashed right form his child hood In each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand One belonged to him, and the other of his mother. Many times, he looked back at the footprints in the sand, he noticed that sometimes along the path there was only one set of footprints.

It was those times when he was miserable and sad times of his life. This was really bothering him.

He questioned his mother about it  “Mother, you had told that you would walk with me all the time; But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why in times when I needed you the most, you had left me”.

Mother replied,

“My dear child, you were a part of my body before your birth.

After your birth all the time you were with me, When you grew up, I am with you all the time I had never left you alone, even during times of when you were suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I was carrying you, that is why you saw one set of footprints"

Mother will be always with their children guiding and protecting her child
